yupx. just finished reading this book that i borrowed frm library. Very very nice!!!
It's about this Slovian girl who works in a shoe factory and she meets this normadic ice cream man who goes all around europe selling weird flavoured ice creams. Naturally, the whole town disapproves of them being together but she sticks on. However, the guy, being normadic, packs up one fine day and just disappears. So she gets heartbroken and discouraged until he suddenly appeared infront of her shoe factory and picked her up.

So they run away to some american desert where they meet this fat disgusting guy who is deprived of love and has a distorted imagination. I think he's mental. But the author keeps trying to make him sound pitiful. Plus he has pock-marked face. watever that is. it sounds disgusting. So this Theobald Moon english guy lives alone in a makeshift house in the middle of the desert with catus as friends. He's suppose to have some sad childhood under the strict control of his mum. Like forcing him to sit straight and not burp or fart anywhere except the bathroom. So after his mum died, he runs away with her life savings and goes wild in the desert burping and farting at his own will. aiyah. basically, he's just disgusting.

Anyway, the girl and the ice cream man lived in their own ice cream van and kept away from him and they survive by selling abit of ice cream and stealing small things like towels or bread from the motels. Finally, they approached Theobald to borrow his fridge because theirs broke down and the ice creams are melting. Then the ice cream man, Tobir or sm weird slovian name, followed Theobald and this other guy Jersey to the supermarket far far away to get supplies for his icecream. Because he has no money, Tobir resorts to shoplifting and is caught by the police. AND! the disgusting Jersey and Theobald just went off like that! Pui! k.n.s!

Anyway, the girl, Eva, was pregnant so when they reached home she was already starting to have contractions and she keeps asking for Tobir and disgusting Theobald just pretended he didn't understand her. So she thought he just ran away from her... like that time [refer to 1st para]. And after she gives birth to this baby girl, she still wants to look for Tobir and disgusting Theobald actually told her Tobir will never be here. And then she faints/falls asleep and just at that time this policeman came and asked Theobald if he knows this guy called Jaridi or smthing. They caught him for shoplifting and becos' he's an illegal immigrant, they're going to deport him to some distand land. What stupid Theobald didn't know was that Tobir and Eva had entered the country using a fake passport and a fake name. So he just said no. Ya. that one No just dashed Eva and Tobir's dreams. So Tobir was deported and Eva gave up her baby to Theobald and went back home.

Yuck yuck! Theobald sucks! I bet you he's a pedofile or how u spell it. He was so possesive about the baby! Like it actually belonged to him?! yuck! and he nicknames her Sugar-pie??!!!?! gross!

What's nice about the story was that it started with the girl and Theobald living together so i didn't realise anything until the last few pages. Whooop~

digusting theobald makes me sick to the core.
